QUALITY, IDENTITY, AND SUSTAINABILITY
Among the key players at the event, Italian wineries forcefully reaffirmed their strengths: production quality, territorial identity, and a growing focus on sustainability. More and more companies are focusing on responsible agricultural practices, reduced environmental impact, and transparency throughout the supply chain, elements that have become central to consumer choices.
Great attention is also paid to new generations of producers, who bring innovation without sacrificing tradition, reinterpreting native grape varieties and introducing cutting-edge production techniques.
TRENDS: FRESH, ELEGANT, AND LOW-ALCOHOL WINES
From a stylistic perspective, several trends are clearly emerging: increasingly fresh, aromatic, and vertical white wines, alongside less concentrated but more elegant and drinkable reds. Interest is also growing in low-alcohol wines and in new offerings related to the world of natural and organic wines.
EVENTS, TASTINGS, AND WINE CULTURE
In addition to the exhibition area, Vinitaly offered a rich program of guided tastings, masterclasses, and cultural meetings. This was not only a commercial but also an educational opportunity, involving experts, sommeliers, and enthusiasts, helping to spread an increasingly informed wine culture.
A LOOK TO THE FUTURE
The closing of the 58th edition leaves a clear message: Italian wine continues to be an ambassador of excellence around the world, but it must face significant challenges, including climate change, evolving consumption, and geopolitical dynamics.
Vinitaly thus confirms its position not only as a showcase, but as a privileged observatory on the future of the sector, capable of uniting business, culture, and strategic vision. An event that, year after year, continues to strengthen Italy's role as a global player in the wine scene.
The Maremma Toscana Wine Consortium confirms its leading role at Vinitaly (Verona, April 12-15, 2026), highlighting the DOC's growth with over 7.5 million bottles and the success of Vermentino.
