"Leopoldino" 2007 Vermentino Maremma Toscana IGT

Made from the Vermentino and Viognier (12%) vine varieties. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified separately. The pneumatic crushing is very gentle and the must obtained is cooled and carefully decanted. Fermentation takes place in thermo-conditioned stainless steel vats with selegcted yeasts at a temperature of 20° C. Once fermentation is completed the wine is left in contact with its lees for a few months up to a few days before the Vermentino is blended with the Viognier and then bottled.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The colour is straw yellow with greenish glints, the fragrance intense and fruity with floral notes, the taste is full, well-structured with a good balance between acidity and softness.

"Poggio Colombi" 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Maremma Toscana IGT

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot (10%) grapes, hand-picked and vinified separately after malolactic fermentation, the wine is left to mature with its lees for approximately ten months both in second-passage barriques and in steel barrels. Fining takes place in the bottle for a few months.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The colour is intense, with purplish glints. The nose is fruity reminiscent of small red fruits mixed with notes of spices and leather. The flavour is full, soft and persistent.

"Il Cucchetto" 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

With a limited production of 4.000 bottles, Il Cucchetto is the result of the finest selection of the farm’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes. The must is left to macerate for ten days with frequent pump-overs to obtain the best colour and fragrance extraction. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barriques where the wine is left in contact with its lees for approx. 18 months before being blended and bottled. Further fining takes place in the bottle.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The colour is intense with purplish glints. The fragrance is fruity, complex, with notes of spices and small ripe red fruits. The flavour reflects the same notes of the fragrance combined with softness, fullness, balance and persistence.

“Cerida” 2008   Rosso Maremma Toscana IGT

 
A new wine whit a production of 10.000 bottles from Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot  vine varieties exclusively hand-harvested in the Fattoria.
Destemming,pressing and fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The colour is intense with purplish glints. The nose is fruity reminiscent of small red fruits mixed. The flavour is full,soft and very persitent.
